We’re going to kick this list off with a bit of a quirky restaurant. This excellent little place is one of Chelmsford’s longest established themed restaurants. It’s a lively American Diner, promising good food and good times. Back-Inn Time’s relaxed atmosphere and a mouth-watering array of all-American favourites make this a great place to bring the family or meet with friends. The menu is a journey across America, from South Western chicken, fillet steak, fajitas, and Mexican chilli, to New York strip steaks, big ribs, and a huge choice of personalised hamburgers. It’s a great option for all the family.
This gorgeous bistro has been wowing its clientele for over 20 years. On first appearance, the restaurant appears an understated rendered timber building from the front, but once you pull into the car park, that all changes. The rear of the building has a beautifully kept heated covered patio area, complete with planted pots and a bubbling water feature. The restaurant entrance opens into a grand Victorian-style conservatory which houses the reception and bar. It’s a great place for delicious food and a romantic canoodle.
